Terms of Use
These terms apply to readthelogistician.com and to The Logistician’s newsletter. By using either, you agree to them. They are short, and the idea behind them is simple: use our work, credit us, and do not pass yourself off as us.

What we publish
The Logistician publishes short news stories on technology and logistics, written by us from public reporting. Every story links to the outlets that reported it.
Our stories are journalism, published for information. They are not legal, financial, customs or investment advice. We work hard to get the facts right, but we cannot promise that every story is complete or still current, so check the original sources before you act on something you read here.
Using our stories
You are welcome to quote, share, republish, translate and build on our stories, in print or online, commercially or not. The one condition: credit The Logistician by name and, online, link to the story on readthelogistician.com.
What you may not do:
- present our work as your own, or remove the credit to us;
- use the name The Logistician, our wordmark or our logo as your own, or in a way that suggests you are us, work for us, or have our endorsement;
- change a story and still attribute it to us in a way that alters what it says. If you edit it, say that you did.
Photos are not ours to give away. They belong to their photographers and come with their own licences, credited under each picture. Ask the photographer or the photo library before you reuse one.
The facts in our stories come from the outlets we link to. If you want to use their reporting, go to them.
Links to other sites
We link to other websites, above all the outlets behind each story. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they publish.
The newsletter
The newsletter is free and you can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. How we handle your address is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Liability
The site and the newsletter are provided as they are. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using them or relying on what they say. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that the law does not allow us to limit.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in Rotterdam, unless the law gives you the right to go to another court. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed.
